Formed in the summer of 2006 in Chelmsford, Essex, BLOOM are an alternative rock band who have one main aim - to write the elusive classic album. Their music can only be described as epic with vast shifts in mood, ranging from the soft and delicate to sheer bouts of angst and rage. Andy’s vocals have been likened to a merge of Eddie Vedder and Bob Dylan, bursting with character and conviction fused with thumping Zeppelinesque beats and the pop ethic of U2.
Last year the band were invited to attend the NXNE Festival in Toronto Canada, where they played their North American debut gig to a rapturous packed house at the El Mocambo to both public and critical acclaim!
Debut single "Shoulder To Cry On” finally hit the stores in the UK in February 2007 thru new label 16 tons/pinnacle!!! It reached number 17 in the independent music charts and the video was play listed on MTV2 and VH1.
The band have now released their debut album “All That Is” in October 2007 and the second track to be
lifted from it was “The Secret’s Out” which picked up great exposure on UK regional and national radio, including Virgin and Radio One. The band have recently returned from their first tour of Italy in co-incide with the album release there, European distribution is through www.self.it
